So after tonight’s Sports Business Chat (Twitter, #sbchat hashtag, Sunday nights at 9:30pm ET), It gave me a great idea. Even with our busy schedules with school and work, we choose to read what we are interested in. We read topics about different topics we enjoy to expand our minds and continue learning new things. I decided to start compiling a list of great books worth reading starting with aforementioned books already discussed as must-reads this coming year. This list is comprised of mostly sports business books and similarly related texts. It can include anything from business-directed focuses, strictly sports, social media content, etc. Feel free to send me a message of your favorites, if they aren’t on the list and if they are on Twitter, please include their handle for a follow! I’ll make sure to update it as often as I can! Enjoy!

the nba strike is writing a book on economics battle royal as we speak. sad.
but on a more positive note, this is a great post. a wordpress book club seems in order through your site. just a suggestion.
i loved “Mint Condition by Dave Jamieson: How Baseball Cards Became An American Obbsession.”
the book covers all angles under the collectors enchanted moon with a substantial focus on the business side.
i enjoyed Veeck as in Wreck: The Autobiography of Bill Veeck. it put sports as entertainment in perspective for me, but also kept it kind of grey in that Veeck sure loved his baseball.
I’m glad to find your site
Thanks for the recommendations. Cuban’s new book is definitely on my list. Also, if you haven’t read it yet, the new oral history of ESPN, “These Guys Have All the Fun” is incredible both as a business book and as a way to get your fix about all of the on-air personalities we’ve grown up with. It’s on the long side, but I can’t put it down.
From one DMV entrepreneurial sports nut to another, keep writing!
